Come to Lake Herman State Park and enjoy the first day of the year at your SD State Parks. This year’s first day hike will be snow shoeing. Come and learn how much fun snow shoeing can be. We will have 2 sessions with one starting at 1PM and the other at 3PM. We will go over the basic's of snow shoeing and then let you go for a hike. We do have a limited number of shoe's available so if you want to confirm availability please call in advance to 605-256-5003 to reserve a pair. State Park Entrance fee required. Need to wear snow boots or equivalent for snow shoe's, and dress according to the weather, I recommend layers.
