About Miss Miller

Hi, my name is Rachel Miller and I am the 1st grade, Computer, and Art teacher at Madison Christian School. I am really excited about the upcoming school year. I am originally from Madison, SD. In May of 2007 I graduated from Dakota State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and Special Education and a minor in Reading. Along with my degree I also graduated with assistant coaching and K-12 technology endorsement.

I have two wonderful sisters, Elizabeth (23) and Rebekah (20), one nephew, Devyn who is 5, and one niece, Sienna who is 2 months old! My sister Elizabeth currently lives in Sioux Falls and is working at Combine Pool and Spa. Elizabeth recently had a little girl, on May 29th. Elizabeth is dating a very nice guy, Sam. He lives in Sioux Falls and works at Applebees. My mom, Joyce, and sister, Rebekah, moved to Sioux Falls in October of 2007. They are really enjoying their new home. My mom works at Sanford in the Medical Records Department. Rebekah loves babysitting Devyn and Sienna. Also, as of February 18, 2007 Mark, a wonderful man of God, and I are courting. Mark works in Sioux Falls at Digitec Inc. where he is putting his love for science, math, and computers to a good use!

I love staying active! In my free time I enjoy reading, listening to music, spending time with friends and family, or doing something crafty, such as knitting or crocheting. I also love spending time outdoors. One of my favorite outdoors activity is biking! I am a member of team Forward Motion and we bike to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.

This is my second year at Madison Christian School. I am excited to be in a school where God is incorporated in every area of the curriculum.
