Howard City Council Meeting

The Howard City Council met in regular session on Monday, February 11th in the Council Chambers. The council approved the first reading or Ordinance 648, which would increase waste fees due to the new contract.

Also Monday the council instructed City Attorney Jencks to dismiss a case against Larry Helmich, because Helmich has complied with the Councils request of cleaning up his property. Jencks also presented a Legal Service Agreement made and entered into between the law firm of Jencks & Jencks, P.C. and the City of Howard. It's being done for insurance purposes. Mayor Arens was instructed to sign the one-year contract.

And the City of Howard agrees to provide $850.96 of support to the First District Association of Local Governments for the 12 months from October 1, 2007 September 30, 2008.
