Bulldogs improve to 8-0

Hot shooting early propelled the Madison boys to their eighth straight win last night, downing Flandreau Public 96-69 in Flandreau.
The Bulldogs took the early lead 29-14 over the host Fliers, then extended that lead at the half 53-37. Madison continued to pull away in the second half, out-scoring Flandreau 43-32 to remain undefeated.
Four Bulldogs finished the night in double digits, led by Tony Fiegens 25 points. Chad White added 17, while Ryan Steffenson and Derrick Wiebe had 15 and 14 points, respectively. Madison also won the rebound battle, 31-12.
Junior forward Russ Hendrickson led the 4-3 Fliers as he scored 25 points in the loss. Scott Sanderson added 24 while Luke Gassman scored 12.
Madison returns to action on Tuesday as it travels to Flandreau Indian for a double header with the Lady Bulldogs.
