Bulldog wrestlers finish 3-1 at "A" Duals

The Madison wrestling team claimed the consolation championship at Saturday's South Dakota Class "A" Dual team tournament. The 16-team tournament took place at the Swiftel Center in Brookings.
In the first round, Sioux Falls Washington won six of the first seven matches as it held on to win over the Bulldogs 40-33. In the consolation quarterfinals, Madison beat Sioux Falls Roosevelt for the second time in a week, winning over the Rough Riders 51-26.
Madison won the first seven matches over West Central in the consolation semifinals, winning 47-28. Then in the consolation championship, pins by Jacob Jager at 215 and Mason Riesesel at 285 gave Madison a 42-33 win over Brandon Valley.
The Bulldogs are on the road this Tuesday, as they head north to face Milbank and Sisseton in triangular action. The duals start at 5:30 in Milbank.
