The Madison girls' basketball team dropped its second game in a row a 42-37 loss to Sioux Falls Christian in Sioux Falls.
The Lady Bulldogs started sluggish as SFC took a 3-2 lead at the end of the first quarter. But things looked to turn around for Madison as it started the second quarter on a 6-2 run to take a 16-12 halftime lead. But late three-point shots by Katherine Kirby sparked the Chargers as they held off Madison in the second half, improving to 5-10 on the season.
Madison head coach Mat Nelson says a big factor in the Bulldog loss was the 29 turnovers committed by the team.
Christa Paul led all scorers with 12 points and 11 rebounds for Madison, earning her "Player of the Game" honors. Brianna Postma also added 11 points and 10 boards as the Bulldogs slipped to 9-6 on the year.
Madison will look to get back in the win column on Friday when it faces West Central in Hartford.
