Brookings Hockey to Sponsor "Madison Night" Saturday

Madison hockey fans will be treated to some great high school hockey this weekend, when the Brookings Skating Association hosts "Madison Night" at the Larson Ice Arena in Brookings. Madison residents will get in to the Brookings Rangers / Mitchell Marlins game Saturday night for free.

Ken Winthers of Madison is putting together Saturday nights promotion. He says its a great way to expose area fans to hockey.

Winthers' son Dylan is the starting goalie for the Ranger varsity team. He says there has been several Madison people involved with Brookings hockey in the past.

Events get underway at 4:00 with a 14-15 year-olds, followed by the Varsity game at 5:45. There will also be an informational meeting between games at 5:00 for people interested in joining the hockey program.

Saturdays admission is free to Madison residents with a valid ID. The Larson Ice Arena is located north of the Swiftel Center off Interstate 29 in Brookings.
