Bulldogs win over Tanagers; White gets 1,000th Point.

Hot shooting led the Madison boys to their sixteenth win of the year last night a 64-42 win over the Vermillion Tanagers in Vermillion.
Both teams were knotted up at 19 at the end of the first quarter. However the Bulldogs took advantage of 53-percent shooting from the field to outscore the Tanagers by a combined 36-11 in the middle quarters to pull away with the win.
Chad White also set a milestone last night as he connected on two free throws early in the first quarter to give him 1,000 points for his career. He finished the night leading all scorers with 13 points. Derrick Wiebe had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Tony Fiegen added 10 points and 5 assists.
Blaine Olson led 5-14 Vermillion with 12 points and 5 rebounds as the Tanagers shot just 37-percent from the field.
Madison is back in action tonight as it hosts ninth-rated Parkston in the "Seizing South Dakota Classic" at the Dakota State University Fieldhouse. Madison Season Passes will NOT be honored at tonight's game. Tip-off is at 7:30; Matt Hendrickson has the pre-game at 7:10 on Dakotas Best, AM 1390.
