Bulldogs drop match to West Central

The Madison Lady Bulldog volleyball team dropped their second straight home match Friday night, with a 3 to 2, five game loss to West Central. It was the second five game defeat for the bulldogs in the last two weeks.

West Central won a very competitive game one 25 to 23. Madison came back with a dominating performance in game two. Led by senior Breane Manthey the Lady Bulldogs won 25 to 15.

West Central would then take another competitive game three 25 to 19. The game remained close until West Central held a late serve to hold on for the win. Madison came back again to win a close game four 25 to 21.

In the fifth and deciding game, West Central’s Jamey Hofer took over and the Trojans won 15 to 12 to complete the five game match victory.

West Central improves to 13 and 12 on the year, while Madison Falls to 16 and 8. With a win Madison could have won the outright conference championship. The Bulldogs are back in action on Monday against Parkston.
