Bulldogs Earn All-Tournament Team Honors

A pair of Madison Bulldogs finished out their careers this weekend by being named to the Class "A" All-Tournament Team. Chad White and Tony Fiegen were named to the All-Tournament team, as selected by tournament officials in Rapid City.

Fiegen averaged 16.7 points in three tournament games, and averaged just over seven rebounds a game. He also averaged four assists and one block as the Bulldogs won their first state basketball championship since 1945. Fiegen says it was quite an honor to be named to the All-Tournament Team.

The all-time scoring leader for Madison, White average 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in the tournament. He also was a factor on defense, averaging 2.3 blocks per game. White says its an amazing feeling to win the title, but he says the championship was truly a team effort.

Other area players named to the all-tournament team include Sioux Valleys Ben Miller, as well as Austin Eichacker and Austin Harms of Lennox. The Platte-Geddes Cheerleaders won the "Spirit of Six" award, while David Maxwell of Parkston won the "Spirit of Su" award.
