Arlington tops Madison in Volleyball finale

The Madison Volleyball season ended the regular season on a losing note last night, dropping a road match to Arlington 3-1.
The Cardinals took a two-game lead, winning on scores of 25-13 and 25-19. Madison rallied in the third game, winning 25-20, but the Cardinals edged Madison in the fourth game 25-21 to improve to 28-1 on the season.
Brooke Sundberg led Arlington with 13 kills, while Tina Boldt had 24 assists and 2 serving aces. Breanne Manthey led Madison with 8 kills and 23 digs, while Alyssa Wiest had 5 blocks and Katie Breuer had 17 assists and 1 ace.
Madison finishes the regular season with a 16-10 and will face fourth-seeded Flandreau Indian School next Tuesday at the District 5-A tournament in Howard. First serve is at 6:00; Tom Farrell and Jim Otis will bring you the action, starting at 5:40 on Dakota’s Best, KJAM.
