Madison Reds advance to State

The Madison Reds 16-year-old teeners rallied from an early loss to advance to the State Teener tournament, winning their region tournament in Dell Rapids.

Flandreau handed Madison their first loss, with a 4-3 defeat last Tuesday. From there, the Reds reeled off five straight wins, downing Volga and Sioux Falls Christian on Thursday and eliminating Flandreau on Friday with a 11-7 win. That night, Madison handed previously-unbeaten Dell Rapids a 5-3 loss, then blasted the host team on Saturday 18-0.

Madison advances to this weekend's State "A" teener tournament in Garretson. They will face the hosts Friday at 8:00 Friday night.
