Momentum key in Bulldogs loss

A good start for the Madison Bulldog football team turned sour midway through the second quarter in last Friday's game against Sisseton. Madison took an early lead, only to have the Redmen score the rest of the way in a 46-6 win.
Midway through the second quarter the game was tied at 6-6, but Sisseton took the lead for good with two touchdowns in the span of two minutes late in the first half. Madison assistant coach Max Hodgen says those two touchdowns put the momentum squarely in the Redmen's favor.
Another factor in the win was the Bulldog defense. Hodgen says the boys struggled late in the game with open-field tackling and putting pressure on the Sisseton quarterback.
Madison plays its first home game of the season this Friday, as it hosts defending state champion Dell Rapids at Trojan Field.
