Bulldogs win District Volleyball title

The Madison Lady Bulldog volleyball team spent Thursday night celebrating the District 5A championship. The Bulldogs defeated Flandreau 4 games to three to win the district tournament.

Flandreau won the first game, and into the second game it looked as though it would be a very close match. However halfway through the second game the Bulldogs started clicking, taking game two, and them the following two games to win the match.

Madison Head Coach Jennifer Nelson was very pleased with the way her team passed and how the set the ball throughout the match.

The next test is the region championship Match which will be on Tuesday in Madison against the winner of the Sioux Falls Christian vs Dell Rapids match that was also Tuesday night. Coach Nelson knows that it will be important two have two good days of practice to be ready for that match.

The region championship match can be heard on Dakotas Best AM 1390 on Tuesday. Opening tap is at 7:00pm with Jim Otis and Matt Hendrickson.
