SF Christian Charges Bulldogs for Region Title

Volleyball state tournament on the heels of a 3 games to 1 victory over Madison in the Region 3A championship game last night in Madison.

The Lady Bulldogs played well in the first two games splitting the two, but the Chargers took over in the third game and rode a wave of timely serving and great up-front play to their 29th win of the season.

The Match turned around in the Chargers favor in the third game when Senior Setter Carrie Vande Kamp ran off a great string of points from the service line. Vande Kamp said that solid serving is the best way to win in the playoffs.

Sioux Falls Christian will play in the State Tournament that starts next Thursday at the Sioux Falls Arena. Vande Kamp says that her team is very excited to be heading to state.

The Bulldogs played well early on but faded a bit as the match went on. Madison Head Coach Jennifer Nelson said that she was happy with the way her team played earl on in the match.

Sioux Falls Christian improved to 29 and 3 on the season, while Madison finishes the year as the district 5A champions with a record of 18 and 11.
