Trojan Runner Heads to Nationals

Dakota States cross country teams finished their seasons on November third at the Region 3 championships in Sioux Falls. Neither the mens nor the womens team finished high enough to move on to nationals- but one individual was able to extend his season. Senior Chris Heezen finished third overall and punched his ticket to Kenosha, Wisconsin this weekend. Heezen is making a return trip to nationals after being an All-Conference and All-region performer last year as well. Head Coach Buzz Stevenson says Heezens leadership and work ethic aided in his success- but also helped make his teammates better.

Heezen will be the lone representative from DSU at the NAIA national championships this Saturday in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
