Trojan Runner named All-American

For the third consecutive year- Dakota State cross country runner Chris Heezen competed at the NAIA National Championship meet. This time- he did something that no male Trojan runner had done since 1978- come back as an All-American. Heezen finished 22nd in the meet- with the top 30 finishers named All-Americans. Head Coach Buzz Stevenson says Heezens performance was as good as he could have hoped.

Heezen finished with a time of 25:20 in the 8 kilometer race which also featured 257 other runners from across the country. Stevenson says it was clear how Heezen felt about his finish.

Heezen- a senior- finished 81st at last years National Meet and is the first All-American male at DSU since Kevin Berg in 1978.
