MHS Cross Country Teams Qualify for State Meet

The Madison High School Boys Cross Country team scored 32 points to win the Region 2A Meet in White, SD on Thursday, October 13th. The Madison Girls team took third place with 37 points behind Garretson who took first with 18 points and West Central who came in second with 33 points.

Taking second place for the boys was Sioux Valley with 39 points and Flandreau came in third with 53 points.

Finishers for the boys were #1 Tyler Lentsch and #2 Hunter Streff, followed by Mason Sullivan, Austin Handley, Caleb Hawkes, and Lucas Zingmark who all finished in the top-20.

For the girls, Emily Hawkes finished second and Hailey Streff, Madison Nipe, and Brooklyn Hodges also finished in the top-20.

The State Cross Country Meet with be held in Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls next Saturday, October 22nd.
