Tigers Pin Bulldogs at Madison Square Garden Night.

The Howard Tigers improved their wrestling duel record to 7-0 last night as they pinned Madison, 57-17 during Madison Square Garden Night at the Madison Middle School Gym.

Things looked promising for the Bulldogs, as Matt Goth picked up a major decision win over James Jungwirth at 103-pounds. The Tigers roared back in the next four matches, picking up four straight pins to take the lead for good at 24-4.

In fact, the Tigers won nine of their 10 matches by pins. The only win not by a fall was when second-ranked Dan Noonan edged 8th-ranked Andy Williams 4-2 at 135.

Madison did get a pin from Mason Riedesel at 215, and got a major decision win from Jacob Aus at 145 and a close 5-4 triple-overtime victory from Zach Ordal at 152.

Madison is off for the holiday break and will resume action on January 5th at the Miller Invitational. Howard will head south to the Floyd Farrand Invitational Friday and Saturday at Sioux Falls Lincoln.
