Madison Boys XC Take State A!

Saturday was a great day for the Bulldogs Cross Country team. Madison Boys took the Class A boys team title while the girls celebrated Emily Hawkes winning individual champion.

The Bulldog boys, had three runners in the top seven – Tyler Lentsch, Hunter Streff and Austin Handley, while sophomore Emily Hawkes was the top ‘A’ girl with a 4,000-meter time of 15:20.49.

Meanwhile, Spearfish scored 45 points behind a third-place finish from Gretchen Blain.

Harrisburg finished fourth with 80 points as Taylor VanHolland and Mallory Lanier finished 10th and 11th, respectively, while Sioux Falls Christian’s Audrey Brooks was 14th and Justine Van Zee 17th.
