On Saturday, February 16th, seniors Nate Wolters and Tony Fiegen took the floor for the last time in Frost Arena as the SDSU Jackrabbits faced Western Illinois.
In addition to recognizing two outstanding seniors for their contribution to the program over the years, it was a milestone day for the Jackrabbits as they earned their 30th consecutive win at home, which is the second longest homecourt win streak in the nation.
The victory also moved the Jacks into first place in the Summit League, whose tournament will be held in Sioux Falls on March 9th.
For Wolters and Fiegen, it was a fitting sendoff as prior to their arrival for the 2009-10 season, the SDSU men's basketball program had a 36-85 record over the previous four seasons. Since their arrival, SDSU is 81-43 with one Summit League championship and an NCAA Tournament berth.
Tony Fiegen is a 2009 graduate of Madison High School and son of Ed and Patty Fiegen of Madison.
Nate Wolters is also a 2009 graduate from St. Cloud, MN.
