Fiegen's Final Game as an SDSU Jackrabbit Player

Tony Fiegen, a 2009 graduate of Madison High School, started with his SDSU Jackrabbits in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Auburn Hills, Michigan on Thursday. The thirteenth-seeded Jackrabbits took on the fourth-seeded University of Michigan Wolverines.
The Wolverines defeated the Jackrabbits 71-56 in front of a crowd of 19,829. Early in the game, SDSU came from behind with an 11-0 run to take a 13-7 lead. Then Michigan responded with a 14-3 run to regain the lead. SDSU cut Michigan's lead to four, 30-26, at the half.
Early in the second half, the Wolverines led by as many as 11 points, but the Jackrabbits cut it to six. Another strong run by the Wolverines, outscoring the Jackrabbits 10-2, sealed the game for the Wolverines.
Fiegen, a senior for SDSU, had 12 points in the game. Teammate Brayden Carlson led SDSU with 20 points, while lead point guard Nate Wolters was held to a season low 10 points.
Michigan’s Glenn Robinson III and Tim Hardaway, Jr. each finished with 21 points for the Wolverines.
This was the final game for SDSU seniors Nate Wolters and Fiegen. Wolters finished his Jackrabbit career as just the third player in NCAA Division I history to accumulate 2,000 career points and at least 600 rebounds and assists. Fiegen scored 844 points and grabbed 462 rebounds in his career at SDSU, while starting in each of the last 83 games.
