Community Center Triathlon – This Saturday!

A new Male Champion will be Crowned!

After being delayed 42 days the Community Center Triathlon will start at 9am on Saturday! There will be over 100 Tri-athletes participating in this single sport, comprised of three race legs: swimming, cycling and running. Last year’s female overall division winner Teresa Van Hyfte from Hartford, SD with a total time of 52:07 is back to defend her title. A new male overall division winner will be crowned this year. Nine time male division winner, Jason Crisp, Carlton, MN will not be competing due to a previous commitment. Participants will swim 300 yards (6 laps) in the Community Center pool, bike 9miles ,and run 2.25 miles.

The Community Center Triathlon, originally scheduled for April 20th, was postponed until June 1st due to weather. “Even after having to postpone the Triathlon, we still have a strong registration number. I think this goes to show how much people appreciate participating in this annual event.”, race Director, Nick Lemke said. “We have tri-athletes traveling from three different states to compete for the title.”
