Bulldogs clip Pheasants

The Madison boys basketball team came out of the Christmas break with a 67-40 drubbing of Parker last night in Parker.
Madison had a hot start to the night, starting out the game on a 16-0 run before ending the first quarter with a 29-4 lead. After expanding the lead to 51-19 at the half, the Bulldogs held the Pheasants to just 22 second-half points to improve to 4-and-1 on the season.
Tony Fiegen led all scorers as he had 16 points and 9 rebounds for the Bulldogs. Stadium Sports Player of the Game Andrew Strom scored 11 points and forced several of Parkers 26 turnovers during the game. Darren DeNeui had a double-double for the 1-4 Pheasants, scoring 15 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Madison is back in action tonight, when it takes on top-ranked St. Thomas More at the Huron Classic. Tip-off is at 8:10; Matt Hendrickson has the pre-game at 7:50 on Dakotas Best, AM 13-90.
