Gymansts head to Huron tonight

The Madison gymnasts are back in action tonight, as they travel to Huron. The Bulldogs are fresh off winning their own invitational last Saturday, posting 140.2 points in the five-team meet.

The meet was the second time that the Bulldogs scored over 140 points in the 2008 portion of the season. Assistant coach Kindra Wiese says the girls are firing on all cylinders as they make their push for a national record 14th straight state title.

The Bulldogs set a new school scoring record last year against the Class AA school, posting 141.983 points. Wiese is confident about the Bulldogs abilities, but one area shed like the girls to improve is on the beam.

The dual starts at 6:30 tonight at the Huron Middle School Gym.
