The Madison boys shook off their three-game losing skid last night, downing Harrisburg 79-67 at the Middle School Gym.
It was a back-and-forth first half, with the Bulldogs finally pulling away late in the second quarter to take a 46-37 lead. Madison would continue to pull away in the second half, thanks to the play of Tony Fiegen, as the Bulldogs improved to 8-4 on the season.
Fiegen led all scorers with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Chad White scored 20, while Derrick Wiebe came off the bench for 17 points, earning Player of the Game honors. Head coach Mike Ricke said a big factor in the win was that several players stepped up at key times.
For the 5-7 Tigers, Chris Buckmiller had 21 points, while Josh Knust had 17 points and nine rebounds.
Madison hits the road Friday night, when it takes on Dell Rapids. Dakota's Best, AM 1390 will have all the action live from Dells, starting with the pre-game at 7:10.
