It's been less than a month since the NAIA indoor track national meet- but this weekend marks the start of the outdoor season for Dakota State. The Trojans will host the season opener this Saturday at Trojan field. Head Coach Buzz Stevenson says his team will be trying to build off the success of an indoor season that saw 6 DSU athletes qualify for nationals.
The Trojan Invitational this weekend is the first of two home meets for DSU- book-ending the season. Head womens coach Trent Mack says staying home is an unquestioned advantage. Trojan fans are encouraged to attend Saturdays meet- which starts at noon at Trojan field.
A full schedule of events can be found at dsu.edu. To hear more from DSUs track coaches- tune in to the Dairy Queen Dakota State Spring Spotlight at 9AM Saturday on Jammin Country.
