Trojan Baseball working out kinks

The Dakota State baseball team headed for greener pastures this week to compete at the Russ Matt Greater Phoenix Invitational. After winning the first 5 games over Nebraska Wesleyan, Dana, Doane, Midland Lutheran and Minnesota State Mankato, the Trojans stumbled in a two game set against Midland Lutheran.
Head Coach Dean Berry says hes already seen some development from games earlier in the season- particularly the hitting with runners in scoring position.
Berry says this event gives him a chance to evaluate players- making it a sort of try-out. At the same time, he says the team cant afford to give away any games.
The DSU baseball team was ranked 5th in their region this week and will return to Madison to take on Mayville State March 26th.
