Trojans sign several recruits

The Dakota State basketball team ended the season a disappointing 6-and-23. The team only loses 3 seniors- but one is leading scorer Joe Backus and another is floor general Derrick Powell. The Trojans wont have many bodies to replace- but will have a void in scoring and leadership.
Head Coach Wade Kooiman hit the road to fill those holes soon after the season ended and has already come up with a pair of commitments. Todd County Alum Gunner Krogman will play with DSU next year after being a three time Big-Dakota All-Conference performer and averaging over 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in high school.
Brice Christenson of Deuel High School has also signed with the Trojans. He earned all-conference honors his senior year and also lettered in football and golf.
Coach Kooiman is expected to sign at least one more player and could be looking to the junior college ranks or to Aaron King out of Arlington. Kooiman says despite last years record- this will be a competitive team with the new recruits and the returning sophomores.
Coach Kooiman is expected to sign at least one more in this recruiting period. Aaron King of Arlington is a prep-star targeted throughout the season- but the coach has also scouted the junior college ranks.
