Trojan Softball Ready For Spring

The Dakota State softball team may be happier than anyone to see snow melting and mercury rising around the region. The Trojans have been forced to cancel the majority of their games over the past four weeks- but will finally start their conference season this weekend in Dickinson.
Last weekend's home doubleheader against Mayville State will be made up April 15th when the team makes their scheduled trip to Mayville for an April 16th match-up. DSU had planned to take on Northern State on that date- but have canceled those plans.
The team also plans to make-up their doubleheader with Minot State April 24th at Thue Complex.
Head Coach Ken Prorok says the Trojans should end up with close to the same number of games played as originally planned because the NAIA regulates teams dates played- but not number of games.
Prorok says the significant downside to the recent postponements is the teams inability to establish any rhythm and get into game shape.
DSU will play 4 games this weekend against Dickinson State before their next home date- April 8th against Northern State.
