MHS hosts Hamlin in Basebal Playoffs

Madison High School begins it's baseball postseason tonight, as it hosts Hamlin in the first round of the High School Baseball Playoffs. Tonight's game gets underway at 7:00 at Flynn Field in Madison.

The Bulldogs wrapped up the regular season last week, as they won two games against Howard before dropping a 2-1 decision to Chester/Colman-Egan/Flandreau last Sunday. Despite that loss, Madison coach Larry Johnson says it was a good defensive battle.

The loss left Madison with a final regular season record of 6-3 ; good enough for first place in their division and second overall in the region behind Milbank. The Bulldogs have won twice this season over Hamlin and Johnson says the Bulldogs will have to keep Hamlin's bats in check.

Should the Bulldogs win tonight, they'll host the winner of the Howard/Chester-Colman-Egan-Flandreau game either Tuesday or Friday.
