This Saturday the top womens amateur golfers in the state will converge on Madison for the 2008 South Dakota Golf Association Two-Woman Championship at the Madison Country Club. In the tournament teams of two women will play in a best ball format. The tournament will use the Chapman scoring system which allows for both players to tee off on every hole. On par three and fours they will play best ball on the second shot, and on par fives they each will get to hit a second shot, and then play the best ball from there.
Madison Country Club Manager Rick Moralle said that events will begin on Friday.
The tournament will feature some of the best armature players in the state, Moralle says that the players of any age can compete, but the players that will be there are some of the states best.
The players will arrive in town on Friday with the first group teeing off at 7:30am.
