The Madison Volleyball team returned home last night to face Hamlin. And despite a persistent Charger squad, Madison won three games to two.
The Chargers stormed out in the first match to take Madison by surprise with a 22-25 win in Game one. The Bulldogs easily took the next two games 25-15 and 25-21, before losing a 10 point lead in the fourth game, giving Hamlin a 23-25 win. But the Bulldogs prevailed in the tie-breaker, winning 16-14.
Senior setter Katie Breuer earned “Player of the Game” honors, dishing out 19 assists, 13 digs and serving 13-13 from the line. Breanne Manthey added 14 kills and 22 digs, while Amanda Dailing had 22 digs. Carlie Lambert had a good night from the line with three serving aces.
Madison travels to Garretson on Monday before returning to host Sioux Valley Tuesday.
