13-year old teeners fall short in regions

The Madison 13-year old Teeners saw their season come to an end Saturday at the Region Teener Tournament in Clear Lake.

After winning their first two games of the tournament, Madison lost to Milbank in the Quarterfinals, then lost to the Madison 14-year olds in a marathon elimination game, 19-15. Coach Scott Schleissner says several errors in the first inning hurt the 13-year olds in that game.

Schleissner says there's a lot of good talent returning to the teener ranks next season. He also credits the boys for playing hard and using good sportsmanship.
