Flyers clip Bulldogs in Volleyball

The Madison volleyball team put up a good fight, but lost on the road last night to the Chester Flyers in non-conference action.

Chester took the first game 25-18, but Madison rallied to tie the match with a25-19 win in Game 2. But the Flyers rallied in the third and fourth games, winning on scores of 25-14 and 25-13 to improve to 14-1 on the season.

Despite the loss and some changes in the lineup, Madison assistant coach Kevin De Curtins says it was a good night.

Several reserves saw significant playing time, including Christa Paul and Brittany Williams. De Curtins says one of the more pleasant surprises was the play of junior middle hitter Samantha Thompson.

Madison is on the road tonight, as it takes on Milbank.
