Bulldog netters sweep Blue Dragons

The Madison volleyball team played in front of a welcoming Parent's night crowd last night as it hosted Garretson in non-conference action. The Bulldogs swept the Blue Dragons in straight sets, three games to none.

Madison won the first game 25-19, then rallied from an 8-10 deficit to win the second game 25-13. The Bulldogs had to contend with mental errors early in the third game, but rallied to win 27-25. Head coach Wendy Nelson says a big part of the Bulldog victory was the play of Madison's front line.

Another big reason for the win was Madison's serving. During it's losing skid, Madison failed to serve above 90-percent. Nelson says with the end of the season approaching, the girls are re-focused on raising that percentage.

The 12-10 Bulldogs are on the road tonight as they take on Sioux Valley in Volga, then are off until next Tuesday, when they host Dell Rapids.
