Area Volleyball teams go "Pink" for Breast Cancer

Arlington and Colman-Egan meet tonight in Dakota Valley Conference volleyball action. While tonight is important due to being a conference game, the game is also taking on extra meaning for both players and fans.

To commemorate National Breast Cancer Month, both the Cardinals and the C-E Hawks will be decked out in pink, with pink ribbons, pink socks, and pink warm-ups. Plus the teams will honor cancer survivors as well as hand out facts about breast cancer.

Colman-Egan head coach Beth Entringer says the idea came about after talking with her dad Pete, who is an area referee and an organizer for the Entringer Basketball classics.

Arlington readily agreed to take part in tonight’s event. Head coach Anita Boeck says that cancer has affected almost every member of her team in way.

Tonight's match takes place in Colman.
