Bulldogs rally, down Dells in Five

It was a back-and-forth battle last night at the Madison Middle School Gym as the Bulldogs hosted Dell Rapids in Volleyball action. Despite being down two games to one, the Bulldogs rallied to upend the Lady Quarriers three games to two.

The Bulldogs took the first game 25-20, only to have Dell Rapids dominate the second game 25-8. Dells also took the third game 25-17 and looked to cruise to the match win with a 20-15 lead in game four. But Madison outscored the Quarriers 10-3 in the last part of the game to force the tie-breaker. The Bulldogs took the tie-break, winning 15-13 to improve to 12-10 on the season.

Dell Rapids head coach Dale Solberg says Madison's rally in the fourth game proved to be the deal-breaker in the match.

Dell Rapids will host Chester on Friday; Madison travels to Parkston next Monday.
