Bulldogs look to "Finish the Job"

"We're gonna finish the job."
That's the unofficial slogan for this year's Madison boys' basketball team. 20 upperclassmen and 17 freshman began practice earlier this week and will star the season a week from Friday.
The Bulldogs are coming off their first appearance in the State Championship game since 1945, losing to Platte in the finals. Head coach Mike Ricke says expectations are high heading into this season.
All-state standouts Chad White and Tony Fiegen are expected to lead the Bulldogs once again this season. Ricke says both players will be helped by an experienced team that boasts seven returning letterwinners.
Several players have stood out in practice, including Jarrett Janke and Ryan Steffenson. Ricke says a big concern is making sure everyone gets playing time.
Madison starts the season on the road, when they travel to Hayti December 12th to face Hamlin.
