The Madison high school wrestling team starts its season tonight as it travels to Sioux Falls for a dual with Sioux Falls Lincoln. The Bulldogs started pre-season practice almost three weeks ago.
The Bulldogs return several veterans to this years squad. With that experience, head coach Chris Waba says there hasnt been as much need to teach the basics.
One of the key wrestlers returning this season is senior Andy Williams. Williams placed sixth at 135 pounds as a junior last year, and Waba expects him to step up as a leader this year.
Sioux Falls Lincoln had been down over the last few years, but it starting a resurgence. Waba is expecting a good dual with the Patriots tonight.
The dual starts tonight at 5:45.
