It was a disappointing finish for the Madison Lady Bulldogs as Lennox pulled off a fourth-quarter comeback to win 55-52 at Lennox High School.
The Ladybirds took an early 15-7 lead, but Madison scored 37 points in the second and third quarters to take a 43-32 lead. But Lennox went on an offensive tear, taking advantage of several Madison turnovers to outscore the Bulldogs 23-9 in the fourth quarter and improve to 4-1 on the season.
Christa Paul led Madison with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Lindsay Rook and Mikayla McNary each added six points as the Bulldogs shot 48-percent from the field and had 23 turnovers.
Lennox was lead by senior guard Melissa Vlaustuin, who scored nine points in the fourth quarter to finish with 17 points. Kristin White and Allison McEntee each scored eight points, while McEntee added six rebounds.
Madison returns home for one more game before the holiday break. The Lady Bulldogs host Vermillion Monday night at the Middle School Gym.
