Bulldog boys improve to 3-0

The Madison boys' basketball team improved to 3-0 Friday night with a 66-55 win over seventh-ranked Lennox. The game took place at the DSU Fieldhouse in Madison.
Madison got out to a hot start, taking a 20-10 lead in the first quarter. But the Orioles would chip away at that lead, cutting the lead down to four points early in the third quarter. Madison responded with another 20-point outburst in the fourth quarter as Chad White went off for 12 points in the final frame to give the Bulldogs the win.
White finished the game with 21 points to lead Madison while Tony Fiegen had a solid debut with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Derrick Wiebe also finished the night in double-figures as he scored 12.
Austin Harris led all scorers, pacing Lennox with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Austin Eichacker also chipped in eight points as the Orioles fell to 1-1 on the season.
Madison is back in action next Saturday at the Entringer Classic in Brookings.
