Howard Mat-Rats Muzzle Bulldogs

The Madison wrestling team tangled with Class "B" powerhouse Howard last night at Howard High School. The home team Tigers muzzled the Bulldogs 55-24 in the last match before the Holidays.

Madison was down 16-0 but rallied to take an early lead thanks to pins by Matt Goth at 125 and Matt Lemair at 130, plus a win by forfeit by Andy Williams at 135. But the Tigers made quick work in their matches, picking up a total of eight pins in the win.

Mason Riedesel got the only win in the upper weights for Madison, as he won by fall at 215 pounds.

The next Varsity action for Madison will be January 13th, when it travels to West Central
