Bulldog JV wrestlers finish second

Madison sent five J-V wrestlers to the finals Saturday as the Bulldogs finished runner up at the Madison B tournament. The 10-team tournament took place at the Madison Middle School Gym.

Huron won the meet with 247 points, while Madison was second with 178. Chester took third, while Dell Rapids was fourth.

Three Bulldogs won championships, including Roger Fender at 140 pounds, Jared Peters at 152, and Jacob Jager at 189. Wyatt Fender and Matt LeMair took runner-up in their classes, as Jon Waba and Taylor Gusso finished third. Aaron Williams, Tyler Page, and Austin Heffern also medaled for Madison, finishing fourth.

The Bulldog mat-rats are back in action Tuesday night as the team heads to Hartford for a dual with West Central.
