The Madison Area Arts Council Chautauqua Series is featuring historian and author Jon Lauck at the Madison Public Library on May 17 at 7 p.m. Lauck, a Madison native, will talk about his newest book, "Prairie Republic: The Political Culture of Dakota Territory, 1879-1889." The event is free and open to the public.
