The Private Life of Charles Darwin (Open to the Public)

Habeger Science Center Auditorium on the DSU Campus

Got a secret? What if this secret were so terrible that the strain of concealing it makes you physically ill, and public revelation could tear your family apart and make you an outcast in the community?
No, this is not the plot of a recent episode of Glee or Pretty Little Liars. This is the story of Charles Darwin and the social turmoil that often accompanies truly revolutionary discoveries. In celebration of the 203rd anniversary of his birth, please join the biology faculty at DSU for a program on the private turmoil Darwin endured while preparing to publish On the Origin of Species. Several scenes from the 2009 film Creation will be shown and discussed.
