First Day Hikes at Lake Herman State Park. We plan to do a Snow Shoe Hike from 1:00PM-4:30PM on January 1st. Come out and enjoy the first day of year at your SD State Parks. We plan to meet at the Park’s Visitor Center and will do two sessions with one starting at 1PM and the other at 3PM. Each session will come with snow shoes that can be used and a brief training of how-to, then an hour of open hiking. There is a limited number of snow shoes available so if you want to confirm availability please call 256-5003 in advance to reserve a pair.
The only fee for any of these services is just an annual or daily park entrance fee. We are selling next years stickers now so if you plan to come to the park you can purchase a sticker that is good till May 2015.
