Community Welcome Service

Community Welcome Service is a modern-day version of the Welcome Wagon. New residents of Madison and the Lake County area are given a warm reception. Kandy Lurz personally greets new arrivals, including newborn babies, with gifts, coupons and brochures from over 40 area merchants. She informs them of the benefits of shopping with local merchants and the services offered. This is a completely FREE service!

History

Kandy purchased Community Welcome Service in 2005. Raised in rural Lake County, Kandy realized what a wonderful place Madison is to live and raise a family. She and her family moved back to Madison following ten years away deciding it was the best place to raise their children. She wanted to encourage others to take part in the opportunities available in Madison. Home to honest, hard-working people, quality jobs, superior educational opportunities, numerous recreational activities and unique local businesses, Madison sets itself apart from other communities of similar size.

An Opportunity

Community Welcome Service raises awareness of services offered within Madison and Lake County, thus encouraging the patronage of local businesses. Businesses interested in becoming part of the service can join for a nominal fee.
